Early-'80s British hitmakers whose “One Thing Leads to Another” was ubiquitous in the New Wave era.
With their angular guitar riffs, catchy synth lines, and danceable rhythms, the Fixx were the epitome of the accessible dance-rock wing of 1980s UK New Wave. They scored US hits in the early '80s (“One Thing Leads to Another,” “Saved By Zero,” “Stand or Fall”) but were never as big at home. Though their popularity waned by the end of the decade, the Fixx never broke up; they continued to record and perform for decades, retaining most of their original members.
