Hot Hot Heat

One of Canada’s premier melodic-rock/post-punk acts.

Biography

A Canadian contributor to the post-punk revival of the early 21st century, Hot Hot Heat excels at angular, restless rock, often bringing to mind a fusion of the Cure and XTC circa 1979. After a brief stint at the venerable indie label Sub Pop (namely 2002’s MAKE UP THE BREAKDOWN), even earning a minor MTV hit with the frenetic "Bandages," the ensemble jumped to the majors for 2005’s ELEVATOR, hitting a new stride with added accessibility, as best evinced on the tuneful minor modern-rock hits “Middle of Nowhere” and “Goodnight Goodnight”
