Sunshine Anderson

R&B singer with a knack for mixing neo-soul and urban contemporary sounds.

Biography

Neo-soul R&B singer Sunshine Anderson hails from North Carolina. A chance encounter (in which a friend of a record executive overheard her singing to herself in her college cafeteria) led to her industry break, but not before Anderson took a government job in Washington D.C. The young vocalist finally moved to Los Angeles to pursue music, was managed by Macy Gray, and released her debut, YOUR WOMAN, in 2001. The single, “Heard It All Before,” fared well and the album was certified gold. Anderson then created her own label, Shining Star, on which she released her sophomore effort, SUNSHINE AT MIDNIGHT, in 2007.
