Biography

Formed from the ashes of stoner rock icons Kyuss, Queens of the Stone Age -- centered around core members Nick Oliveri and Josh Homme and joined by a revolving door of associates including Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl, Screaming Trees' Mark Lanegan, and A Perfect Circle's Troy Van Leeuwen -- debuted with a self-titled album in 1998, followed by Rated R (2000), Songs for the Deaf (2002), Lullabies to Paralyze and Over the Years and Through the Woods (2005), and Era Vulgaris (2007). ~ Jason Ankeny
