Jeff Lynne fronted the Electric Light Orchestra before embarking on a production career and joining the Traveling Wilburys.
British rocker Jeff Lynne started out with psych-pop band the Idle Race before joining the Move at singer Roy Wood's behest. Lynne and Wood started Electric Light Orchestra together, but Wood departed early on, leaving Lynne to steer the ship. After leaving E.L.O. in the mid-1980s, Lynne made only one solo album, playing with supergroup the Traveling Wilburys and working as a super-producer for fellow Wilburys Tom Petty, George Harrison, Roy Orbison, and many others.
