Formed in Gainesville, Florida, during the early 1990s, Less Than Jake made its first big mark on the musical map with ‘96’s LOSING STREAK, a collection of caffeinated ska-punk tunes. Although the band seemed destined to fade like many other third-wave ska acts, the group rebounded from a slump with ‘03’s highly melodic ANTHEM, allowing LTJ to have a second lease on its musical career. Less Than Jake boasts a strong connection to the highly influential Fueled By Ramen label, which was started by drummer Vinnie Fiorello and groomed the renowned emo ensembles The Academy Is… and Fall Out Boy.
