Descendents

One of the most beloved bands to emerge from the SoCal punk scene of the 1980s.

Biography

With an intelligent and witty take on typical punk-rock subject matter--alienation, parents, fast food, boredom--and a blazing yet catchy approach, the Descendents, from Manhattan Beach, California, became one of the most beloved bands to emerge from the SoCal punk scene of the 1980s. The band's key line-up, which featured PhD-wielding lead singer Milo Aukerman, coalesced around 1982's MILO GOES TO COLLEGE. The Descendents would go on hiatus numerous times during their career, but they continued to release records and tour into the new millennium.
