Biography

During the early 1970s, this influential quartet transcended its beginnings as just another bunch of English blues rockers by virtue of its tight, bare-bones arrangements, Andy Fraser's fluid bass lines, Paul Rodgers' emotive R&B-schooled vocals, and (unnaturally for a heavy rock band of the period) nuanced, sensitive songwriting.
