Biography

Barry White's long career took him from the ghetto to international success, with 106 gold and 41 platinum albums, 20 gold and ten platinum singles, and worldwide sales in excess of 100 million. The female-vocal group that White produced, Love Unlimited, hit the charts with [roviLink="MC"]"Walkin' in the Rain (With the One I Love)," and he was also behind the Love Unlimited Orchestra for the instrumental single [roviLink="MC"]"Love's Theme," which was a million-selling number one pop hit. His 1973 solo album I've Got So Much to Give included big hits with the title track and [roviLink="MC"]"I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little More Baby." ~ Ed Hogan
