U.K. alternative-rock duo Curve who combined shoegazer atmospherics and techno beats during its 1990s heyday.
A British duo consisting of vocalist Toni Halliday and guitarist Dean Garcia, Curve served as sort of a Blondie for the early 1990s shoegaze/techno set. Both dreamy and aggressive, sometimes at the same time, the band channeled My Bloody Valentine’s noisy guitar drones into danceable, beat-driven tunes that featured Halliday's sultry cooing. Although Curve went on hiatus in the mid-‘90s, it returned with 1998’s COME CLEAN, proving that it still had a thing or two to teach obvious successors such as Garbage.
