Blue Rodeo

Pioneering Canadian alt-country act has maintained consistent success since their 1987 debut album.

Biography

One of the first true alt-country bands, Blue Rodeo formed in Toronto in 1984 around the core duo of singing guitarists Jim Cuddy and Greg Keelor. Since their debut album, 1987's OUTSKIRTS, they have maintained a steady following in their native Canada and a devoted cult elsewhere. Their most popular albums include 1989's DIAMOND MINE and 1993's FIVE DAYS IN JULY. Cuddy, Keelor, and bassist Bazil Donovan have all released solo albums, and drummer Glenn Milchem has a side project called the Swallows.
