Nelly seemed like a novelty when he first debuted in summer 2000 with [roviLink="MC"]"Country Grammar (Hot...)," yet he was no one-hit wonder, consistently returning to the pop charts with smash hits like [roviLink="MC"]"Hot in Herre," "Dilemma," and "Grillz." Combining a Southern drawl with a Midwestern twang, Nelly rapped in a voice that sounded like no other hip-hop artist of the time.
