Bert Jansch

A master of British folk/blues with a highly distinctive voice; an hugely infleuntial figure since his mid-'60s debut.

Biography

This highly gifted acoustic guitarist and influential performer learned his craft in Edinburgh's folk circle before being absorbed into London's burgeoning club circuit in the late 1960s, where he established a formidable reputation as an inventive musician. His self-titled debut is a landmark in British folk music. Eventually, he became equally well-known for his collaborations with John Renbourn and Pentangle.
