Spanish singer and global superstar has sold over 230 million albums in seven languages since 1969.
Julio Iglesias was the most popular Latin singer of the '70s, '80s, and beyond, selling over 300 million albums around the world. Iglesias was a smooth, romantic crooner, and his appeal translated to many different countries in many different languages. It wasn't until the early '80s that he began concentrating on his English recordings. His cover of "Begin the Beguine" became a number one hit in 1991, and three years later, the duets collection 1100 Bel Air Place -- featuring the Top Ten hit with Willie Nelson, "To All the Girls I've Loved Before" -- sold over three million copies in America. ~ Stephen Thomas Erlewine
