A highly acclaimed Denver, Colorado-based blues guitarist and singer-songwriter.
Guitarist/songwriter Otis Taylor may be one of the few touring blues artists who has an equally successful career as an antiques broker. Raised in Colorado, by his mid-20s he had been a member of several blues-rock groups, including T&O Shortline and his own Otis Taylor Blues Band, and played throughout America and Europe. When a number of projected recordings contracts fell through in the mid-'70s, Taylor opted to start a career in antiques, and retired from music for nearly 20 years. He was persuaded to perform again by Kenny Passarelli in '95, and released his debut solo album, BLUE EYED MONSTER, the following year. In more recent years he has integrated other roots influences into his music, and has resurrected a childhood interest in the banjo.
