Along with producer Mark Brydon, Dublin-born singer Róisín Murphy formed the electronic pop duo Moloko. The pair's quirky-stylish sound led to several hits, including [roviLink="MC"]"Sing It Back" and [roviLink="MC"]"Fun for Me." By the time of Moloko's fourth album, 2002's Statues, Murphy and Brydon's professional relationship was strained, and Moloko called it a day. Murphy began working with producer Matthew Herbert, and the results were three limited-edition vinyl EPs, Sequins, Vol. 1, Vol. 2, and Vol. 3. In 2005, Echo released the EPs as the full-length album Ruby Blue. Overpowered, which featured some of Murphy's most pop-oriented songs to date, arrived in late 2007. ~ Heather Phares
