Tilly and the Wall

Omaha indie punk popsters whose eclectic sound is accentuated by the tap dancer hired as percussion.

Biography

Employing a tap dancer for percussion, yet escaping any trace of gimmickry, Omaha, Nebraska’s Tilly and the Wall, cohorts of Conner Oberst (aka Bright Eyes), cobble together female-male harmonies, folk sensibility, and elements of various styles that span the globe for a jaunty sound dangling just off the edge of indie rock. Signed to Oberst's Team Love Records, the fivesome garnered underground attention on its 2004 debut, WILD LIKE CHILDREN, and rolled to national acclaim on the 2006 follow-up, BOTTOMS OF BARRELS.
